Petrostreamz wins medal in British Gas Innovation award

PSM/Streamz was awarded a 3rd prize in the annual British Gas Chief Executive Innovations awards at a ceremony in Dehli, India in October 2005. The prize was given in the category of General Technology Application for the project work done in Tunisia using PSM/Streamz.

The Miskar Stream Blending Optimization project enabled accurate forecasting of the off-plattform composition – a blend from 13 wells from two different reservoirs. Future infill drilling will blend the flow from a third reservoir. The Miskar reservoir model is a black-oil and cannot provide detailed compositions. By using compositional stream conversion software a fast and accurate picture of the composition produced by the field can be provided, helping investment decisions for future processing plant expansion requirements.
